Her Royal Majesty Queen Mother Dr. Dòwòti Désir, Sêmévo 1st of the Royal Palace of the African Diaspora, has been an eminent figure since her enthronement in 2022 as Queen Mother of the African Diaspora, Benin Republic. With a mission to spotlight African spirituality and promote the history and culture of the West African nation, she has become a leading proponent for the Bénin Republic.
The Queen Mother is dedicated to fostering greater understanding of the process of dual citizenship and addressing the challenges of transnationalism. She is equally committed to recognizing and valorizing the role of women as warriors and resistance fighters in the liberation struggles of Black and Brown peoples as part of her mandate.
