Brooklyn native Aaron Anaya is a Licensed Massage Therapist, yoga teacher, and martial arts instructor. Raised in a Puerto Rican household rich in Afro-Caribbean culture, Aaron developed a love for rhythm and movement early on and began studying martial arts at the age of four. His training spans Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Aiki Ju Jitsu, and Muay Thai. Throughout his youth, he also performed in dance and theater, played baseball, and competed in stepping and handball tournaments across New York City.
Aaron has trained in Capoeira for over 18 years and currently holds the title of Professor. Capoeira blends his passions for music, martial arts, dance, performance, and teaching into one expressive and powerful art form. He has led and assisted in countless demonstrations, classes, and performances throughout NYC public schools, community centers, and venues along the East Coast.
His deep commitment to movement and wellness led him to the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy, where he discovered his love for Traditional Chinese Medicine and Eastern bodywork. He became licensed in 2013 and later completed his 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2018. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
